Can't get this to work 8 Months, 1 Week ago

Installed the component, no problem. Tried to install the module and I get a message: There is already a file called /home/designs/public_html/modules/ajaxwhois/css/index.html - Are you trying to install the same CMT twice?
There's no module to publish and a link to the component gives me "You are not authorized to view this page" so I don't know what else to do.
Joomla 1.0.1.3 is what I'm using, by the way.

Use JoomlaXplorer to check if the folder /home/designs/public_html/modules/ajaxwhois/css/index.html exists. If yes then check why?
It might be the result of improper installation or first unsuccessful installation. And you are trying to install second time.
Even if the problem persists, please revert back. And please describe the following also:
the url of installation.
Joomla Ver.
php ver,
MySQL ver,
Safe Mode Off/On etc.

I tried deleting the folder and uninstalling and reinstalling and got the same error. Component installs but module won't. And without the module, nothing works

Same story with the new version, uninstalled the component, installed the new version. Tried to install the module and got Upload module - Failed
There is already a file called /home/designs/public_html/modules/ajaxwhois/language/french.js - Are you trying to install the same CMT twice?
So once again, it must be something to do with french.js being called twice, but it keeps the other files from installing and being recognized

I have installed and uninstalled the module ver 0.2.31 2/3 times but without any problem.
You can again download and install the module by cleaning the modules folder (deleting ajaxwhois folder and any files relating to ajaxwhois module). There might be some problem with your download.

I did that, deleted the folder in modules through JoomlaXplorer and reinstalled, same error message.
